Epified brings mythology and epic literature to life through whiteboard animation. A YouTube channel with animated content based on stories from Hindu mythology. The idea is to create a mythological universe that will expand over time to include more diversity and tap into the rich culture of storytelling that India has had and nurtured for millennia.
I was Story Head at Culture Machine between January 2015 and December 2016. During this period, I was in charge of Epified, a video channel that communicated ideas and events from Hindu mythology and Indian history by way of whiteboard animation. The channel built a fairly loyal following on social media in a relatively short period and was covered by the media as well. Some sections of it were also syndicated to the TV’s Epic Channel.
